How much does delivery cost?

Orders over £60 qualify for free delivery from Wednesday to FridayDelivery for orders under £60 costs £4.95. 

Weekday orders are normally delivered before 6pm the day after they leave our premises, although during busy periods such as Christmas deliveries may take place later in the evening. 

Orders over £100 qualify for free delivery on Saturday. Delivery for orders under £100 costs £9.99. Saturday orders are delivered before noon.

We do not deliver from Sunday to Tuesday – see below for more details.

Which courier do you use?

We use APC Direct.

How are delivery drivers adapting to the coronavirus pandemic? 

APC drivers are currently operating a strict no-contact policy. This is aimed at protecting the health and wellbeing of customers and drivers alike.

Anywhere on the UK mainland where next-day delivery is available. See below for more details.

When do you deliver?

Our delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Due to the nature of the fresh fish supply chain and to ensure you receive the freshest possible fish and seafood at an affordable price, we do not deliver from Sunday to Tuesday.

Please see the table below for the delivery schedule for each day of the week.

If you would like your fish to be delivered on Saturday, please place your order before 10am on Wednesday to avoid disappointment, then go to Your Basket and select your preferred shipping option.

If you require fish outside our delivery schedule then we recommend you order them in advance, pop them in the freezer and defrost at the appropriate time. All our portions are packaged ready for freezing (see How will my order be packaged?).

Which postcodes do you not deliver to?

We cannot automatically supply customers living in postcodes where APC Direct does not offer next-day delivery. We take great pride in the quality of our products and their freshness diminishes in direct proportion to the time they spend in transit. 

Below is a list of postcodes to which we currently cannot automatically offer delivery. However, if you live in one of the postcodes listed then please call us on 01506 894088 between Tuesday and Saturday or email us, and we will try to find an alternative delivery method which ensures any order you place reaches you in peak condition.

Can I ask for my order to be delivered on a certain date?

Yes, providing the date is a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Please advise us of any requirements during the checkout process. If you wish to discuss this further please call us on 01506 894088 between Tuesday and Saturday or email us.

How will I know my delivery is on its way?

We will notify you as soon as your order is assembled and handed over to the courier. 

As soon as they take your order from our premises you will receive an email with a consignment number. To keep on top of the status of your delivery, visit the APC Direct website and click on “Track Your Parcel”. Now type in your consignment number and postcode and click on “Track This Parcel”.

What happens if I’m not in when the courier comes?

During the checkout process you can add instructions for the courier in case you won’t be at home when your order is scheduled for delivery. You may, for example, wish the courier to leave your order with a neighbour or in a safe place.

We strongly recommend giving additional instructions – if you don’t then your order will be returned to the courier’s nearest depot. The courier will notify you by email or text message and ask you to rearrange delivery.

Can I place an order for a friend or relative?

Yes. During checkout make sure to specify the shipping address you would like the order to be sent to. Please check the address is not within a postcode we cannot offer next-day delivery to.

Coronavirus: Delivery Update

Due to exceptionally high demand, orders will be delayed by two to three days.

Please add at least two days to the date of delivery on your order confirmation.

To ensure maximum freshness all orders are delivered the day after they are assembled.

We are also experiencing disruption to supply and distribution chains, so the availability of certain products is subject to change.

IS YOUR ORDER LATE?

If your order is overdue and you have not been contacted by our courier partners APC, your order is still being processed. Please do not contact us unless you have received a notification from APC and your order has not been delivered.
 

REFUNDS

If you would prefer a refund, then email or call us. Please include your order number.
