Packaging

At Fresh Fish Daily we are committed to serving you the best fish and seafood at the best price possible. And our years of experience in the seafood industry have taught us that, when it comes to quality, freshness is everything.

We also take our environmental responsibilities seriously. The packaging we use to keep fish and seafood fresh on its journey to your home is critically important. It must strike a balance between preserving the flavour and nutritional benefits of your fish and seafood and meeting modern environmental standards.

How We Package Your Order

1. If you are buying whole fish or fish portions then we will vacuum pack them individually. If the fillets are small we will pack them in pairs. Oysters and lobsters are placed in a box. Scallops are shelled and placed in a sealed carton or tub.

2. Each portion is then weighed and clearly labelled.

3. We add frozen chill packs, which contain non-toxic gel, to a polystyrene box.

4. We pack your order so the chill packs distribute the cold evenly throughout your fish and seafood, ensuring maximum freshness.

5. We seal the polystyrene box with packing tape and hand it to our courier, who will deliver it to you the next day.

Recycle Or Reuse

Polystyrene

If you wish to recycle the polystyrene box, the first place to ask is your local council.

You can also find out if there are any local authority or commercial facilities for recycling your box nearby online at recyclenow.com if you live in England, recycleforscotland.com if you live north of the border and recycleforwales.org.uk if you live in Wales.

There are a number of ways you can also reuse the polystyrene box, especially if you enjoy gardening. See FAQ for advice and tips.

Chill packs

The chill packs contain a non-toxic gel and can be disposed of in your household waste.

A better option, however, is to keep the packs and reuse them. See FAQ for details.

Coronavirus: Delivery Update

Due to exceptionally high demand, orders will be delayed by two to three days.

Please add at least two days to the date of delivery on your order confirmation.

To ensure maximum freshness all orders are delivered the day after they are assembled.

We are also experiencing disruption to supply and distribution chains, so the availability of certain products is subject to change.

IS YOUR ORDER LATE?

If your order is overdue and you have not been contacted by our courier partners APC, your order is still being processed. Please do not contact us unless you have received a notification from APC and your order has not been delivered.
