We also take our environmental responsibilities seriously. The packaging we use to keep fish and seafood fresh on its journey to your home is critically important. It must strike a balance between preserving the flavour and nutritional benefits of your fish and seafood and meeting modern environmental standards.
How we package your order
1. We vacuum pack fish portions and whole fish in Pairs or individually if selected. Scallops are also vacuum packed, while oysters and lobsters are placed in a box.
2. The sealed products are then labelled with the species, who packed them, the date they were packed on and a fresh use-by date.
3. We add frozen chill packs, which contain non-toxic gel, to a fully natural Woolcool Pouch or Box depending on size and order requirements.
4. We pack your order so the chill packs distribute the cold evenly throughout your fish and seafood, ensuring maximum freshness.
5. We seal the pouch/box with packing tape and hand it to our courier, who will deliver it to you the next day.

Chill packs
The chill packs contain a non-toxic gel and can be disposed of in your household waste.
A better option, however, is to keep the packs and reuse them. See FAQ for details.

Unlike some of our competitors, when you buy fresh fish from us you can be sure it’s exactly that – always FRESH, never frozen.
Many of the fish we sell are the result of bravery, hard work and years of experience.
The journey begins with the crews of fishing boats, who work long hours in often hazardous conditions to bring back their catch.
When they return to shore the catch is then sold at the market and transported to our premises, where the fish are prepared, vacuum-sealed, packaged and delivered to your door within 24 hours.
