Description

Our lemon and coriander marinade brings a citrussy lightness to a fish whose flavour is often described as earthy or nutty.

Rainbow trout is a rich source of omega-3 oils. It also has a low amount of fat and saturated fat in comparison to other oil-rich fish such as salmon.

The trout family is carnivorous and takes its name from the Greek “troktes”, meaning voracious. The flesh pairs well with garden herbs, almonds, lemon and white wine. It’s a versatile fish which can be sautéed, grilled or baked en papillote, and also lends itself well to cold and hot smoking.

A silvery fish with spots over its body and fins and sometimes a purplish-blue band on its side, rainbow trout is a species native to North America which has been exported to many countries.

Rainbow trout are farmed and consequently recommended by the Marine Conservation Society as a good choice for consumers who care about sustainability.

How We Package Your Fish and Seafood

1. We vacuum pack fish portions in pairs and whole fish individually. We vacuum pack scallops in quantities of 500g. Oysters and lobsters are placed in a box.
2. Each portion is then clearly labelled with the species, who packed it, the date it was packed and a fresh use-by date.
3. We add frozen chill packs, which contain non-toxic gel, to a polystyrene box.
4. We pack your order so the chill packs distribute the cold evenly throughout your fish and seafood, ensuring maximum freshness.
5. We seal the box with packing tape and hand it to our courier, who will deliver it to you within 24 hours.
