Our smoked mackerel pâté is an exemplary product made by expert smokers John Ross Jr, suppliers to HM the Queen.
Spread on oatcakes, crackers or warm toast, the pâté makes a luxurious snack, starter or light lunch.
John Ross Jr is an award-winning, family-run smokehouse founded in 1857. The pâté is made with Scottish smoked mackerel and free from artificial additives.

Keep refrigerated between 0˚C and 4˚C and consume within 2-3 days of opening. Freeze on day of purchase and use within one month. Defrost thoroughly before use.
1. We vacuum pack fish portions in pairs and whole fish individually. Scallops are also vacuum packed, while oysters and lobsters are placed in a box.
2. Each portion is then clearly labelled with the species, who packed it, the date it was packed and a fresh use-by date.
3. We add frozen chill packs, which contain non-toxic gel, to a polystyrene box.
4. We pack your order so the chill packs distribute the cold evenly throughout your fish and seafood, ensuring maximum freshness.
5. We seal the box with packing tape and hand it to our courier, who will deliver it to you within 24 hours.
From Wednesday to Friday, delivery for orders under £40 costs £4.95. Orders over £40 qualify for free delivery.
On a Saturday, delivery for orders under £100 costs £9.99. Orders over £100 qualify for free delivery.
We work with APC Direct and deliver anywhere on the UK mainland where 24-hour delivery is available.

Our delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Due to the nature of the fresh fish supply chain and to ensure you receive the freshest possible fish and seafood at an affordable price, we do not deliver on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

Each product page clearly says where it comes from. We deal with a range of suppliers, including fish markets in north-east Scotland and reputable aquaculture businesses on the north-west coast of Scotland and in East Lothian. Freshness and quality mean everything to us and we only engage with partners who share our values.

Many of the fish we sell are the result of bravery, hard work and years of experience.
The journey begins with the crews of fishing boats, who work long hours in often hazardous conditions to bring back their catch.
When they return to shore the catch is then sold at the market and transported to our premises, where the fish are prepared, vacuum-sealed, packaged and delivered to your door within 24 hours.
